Office Visits

Our pediatric dental practice is in the rapidly growing Sugar Land area close to Highway 6 and 59 on Williams Trace Blvd. in the Sugar Land Professional Plaza. We are in a one-story office with a child friendly, water themed reception area that includes blocks, a chalkboard, movies, SEGA game, toys, and books. We have both a large and small clinical area that look out on a peaceful lake. Our patients can listen to personal CD or cassette players, read books, hold stuffed animals, or play hand held electronic games to help them remain calm. There are prizes for them to choose after their visit and there is a monthly drawing for a prize.

Our doctor and some of our staff members speak Spanish for those who are more comfortable speaking in Spanish, and we are happy to work with Special Needs children. As a service to the community, Dr. Delclos introduces children to good dental hygiene by doing school programs in many of our surrounding schools.

We are HIPAA compliant in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.

Scheduling Appointments

Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. (Monday-Thursday). Our last appointment on all days is scheduled at 4:30pm.

Our office number is 281-265-4177. We make every effort to confirm appointments 24 to 48 hours in advance and we require 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. There is also a dentist on call during the weekend for emergencies.

Preventive Visits

Regular 6-month checkups and cleanings are recommended to keep the patient’s teeth healthy and to prevent dental problems from growing too large. Tooth decay grows more rapidly in children than in adults, so many times extensive and costly dental treatment can be averted through timely pediatric care as the teeth are developing. The six-month visits may be scheduled six months in advance. We will then mail you a postcard reminding you of your appointment.

Your Child’s First Visit

We recommend that children begin regular checkups at two years of age, but we see children younger than two if they have had trauma to their teeth or mouth or if the parent has a concern.

We are happy to accept new patients to our practice. Our New Patient Coordinator can assist you in setting up your child/children’s first appointment. You are welcome to speak with our Coordinator about setting up a time to come by with your child to tour the office so your child will be more familiar with the office during her/his first dental visit. You can also prepare for your child’s first visit by taking a positive approach. For very young children, there are excellent children’s stories which describe a visit to the dentist. These books are great at helping convey good feelings about how regular dental visits are a part of growing up.

During the first visit, we will examine your child’s teeth, and for children over four years old we reccomend taking x-rays of their teeth. Please do understand that crying can be a very normal and natural reaction during a dental visit. Our dental staff is fully trained to handle these situations in a positive and patient manner.

Our Office is Child Friendly

Our reception area has a cheery atmosphere with blocks, toys, books, a chalkboard, moves and a SEGA game for the children to enjoy while they are greeted and parents are filling out update forms.

The clinical areas have a lake view with children's posters, books, stuffed animals, game boys to play, radios, prizes and coupons.

Emergency Care

We do not set aside “emergency time” on a daily basis. If your child has an emergency, please call us and we will see your child as soon as possible. Occasionally an emergency will cause us to run late with regularly scheduled patients. When this happens, we request your understanding and will do our best to keep you informed.
